ALF Senior Fellow Martha Kanter is the U.S. Under Secretary of Education and Former Chancellor of the Foothill-De Anza Community Colllege District
Kanter has served as U.S. under secretary of education since June 2009. From 2003 to 2009, she was chancellor of the Foothill-De Anza Community College District, one of the largest community college districts in the nation, serving more than 45,000 students.
