EdNet Learning Circle

When:

Location: ALFSV Office

Kids in Common is partnering with the ALF EdNet to bring you a powerful dialogue on January 23, 2019 from 5:00-7:30 PM at ALF’s offices. This learning circle will be designed to provide a place for members of the ALF Education Network (EdNet) and Kids in Common Advisory Board to dive deeply into intersecting data sets regarding kids in the education system. 

Learning Circle #1: The Path to High School Graduation and High School Drop Out For: Kids with Disabilities and Youth in the Foster Care System

Goals

To compare the graduation and drop- out rates for these two high risk groups examining the following factors:

o   Racism, Social Justice and Equity

o   Poverty

o   Mental Health 

o   Family Engagement

o   School to Prison Pipeline

To compare the timing for students that drop out and to look at what the precipitating factors are that may be leading to a student choosing to drop out
