Welcome Back, Welcome In: Bridging & Intersectionality

ALF Silicon Valley’s The Power of We welcomes new and returning participants as we deepen our shared work and explore “The Power of Bridging” in 2026. Civil rights scholar john a. powell reminds us that “none of us has a primary identity.” This session introduces intersectionality—the idea that aspects of identity (such as race, gender, class, ability, etc.) overlap to shape our experiences of power. By understanding these connections, we move toward a leadership rooted in bridging rather than breaking, and in building deliberate common cause.
