As Class XLII began their Wilderness Experience this past July, ALF Silicon Valley’s Network Development Committee began the process of seating Class XLIII.
Taking the lead in this annual endeavor is a cross-section of fourteen Senior Fellows, which, as a committee, aims to maximize the diversity of participants in the seated class.
Ethnic, gender and sector diversity has always driven ALF’s selection process, with a newly added emphasis on geographic and political diversity. Recently we’ve been thrilled to add residents of the East Bay, San Francisco, and San Mateo County to the network and hope to build on this success. In addition, moderate and conservative voices are essential for the robust dialogues at the center of the Fellows Program.
We greatly appreciate the many excellent nominations submitted by members of our affinity groups, such as the AAPI Caucus, ALF Black, La Comunidad, LGBTQ+, and San Mateo Affinity Group. Your commitment to broadening the makeup of the ALF network has made the strategies noted above possible!
