Leadership Context with Class XLVI

For their May session, the Fellows from Class XLVI gathered at Westminster Presbyterian Church, hosted by Bryan Franzen, Senior Pastor, and Josh Selo, Executive Director of the Bill Wilson Center. The day was dedicated to small-group discussions focused on the Fellows’ leadership context.

The Fellows discussed their organizational mission, how it fits within their sector, how their current roles fit within the organization, and where each Fellow hopes to lead their organization in the future.

Much of the unprompted discussion concerned the state budget and the anxiety and uncertainty it produces. With orientation last month, the goal was to have the Fellows gather a deep understanding of each other as people; this month, the goal is to have them develop a deeper understanding of the leadership context within each Fellow’s life.

This deeper understanding of their personal and professional lives is the foundation we take with us to the July Wilderness Experience and into the discussion beyond it.
