A Bittersweet Farewell and Deep Gratitude

An Update From Chief Marketing Officer Richard Ángel Vega

After more than six years leading the organization’s marketing and communications efforts, my time with ALF Silicon Valley will come to a close on June 18, 2026.

I joined American Leadership Forum in April of 2020, in the earliest, most uncertain days of a global pandemic, and what I found here was something I did not expect: a community that held fast to its belief in the power of human connection precisely when connection felt most impossible. That experience shaped me in ways I am still discovering.

I am immensely grateful to the entire team at ALF Silicon Valley, particularly Suzanne St. John-Crane, whose vision for ALF’s potential laid the foundation for my role in telling this network’s story over the last several years.

Of course, I am honored to have worked with Erica Yew, who stepped into the CEO role earlier this year with incredible grace and generosity. I leave knowing that the organization is in extraordinarily capable hands and with full confidence that the work of joining and strengthening leaders to serve the common good will only grow stronger from here.

If you’re curious about my next steps or would like to connect, you can connect with me on LinkedIn at any time.

With deep appreciation and enduring respect,

Richard A.Vega
