ALF Silicon Valley adds ten new board members

Growing the ALF Network at the Annual Board Retreat

On September 24, the ALF Silicon Valley Board of Directors gathered at Miramar Farms in Half Moon Bay for the annual board retreat. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the farm’s gardens and the iconic redwood barn, the group dedicated a full day to important strategic governance in support of the mission and people of ALF Silicon Valley.

Of course, an ALF board retreat wouldn’t be complete without officially welcoming new members to the leadership team. On this day, the board voted to add ten new members, bringing the total number of active members to twenty-five, which aligns with the board’s bylaws for representing the ALF network. Please join us in welcoming this outstanding group of Senior Fellows as they embark on the next level of leadership within the ALF Silicon Valley network:

In addition to enhancing the team’s diversity of backgrounds and experiences, the board also voted on a new slate of officers, with a focus on ensuring a smooth transition to the next permanent CEO. Please join us in recognizing these Senior Fellows who have graciously accepted the call from their peers to take on these essential stewardship roles:

David Yarnold, Board Chair-Elect
Dave Babulak, Board Vice Chair
Mica Mayo, Board Vice Chair
Kim Rivera, Board Vice Chair
Rebecca Vermeulen, Board Treasurer

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Jayne Battey (Class XXIV) and Lee Ott (Class XXXV) for their dedicated service on the ALF Silicon Valley board. Both Jayne and Lee contributed an extraordinary amount of time and talent during their terms, and we are incredibly thankful for their thoughtful and strategic leadership. Additionally, a special thanks goes to Jayne and her team at Miramar Farms for graciously hosting the board and staff during this retreat.
