Members of Class XLV reconvened this month, hosted by classmate Alex Vallejo at the PGE Conference Center in San Ramon. The session focused on social impact and civic responsibility, building on discussions the class has engaged in since the Wilderness experience last summer.
The morning discussion began with the impact each Fellow makes simply by “showing up.” Through their participation and commitment during the Fellows Program year, the Fellows establish a bond as a diverse group of leaders, laying a foundation for their future achievements together. The second morning discussion centered on “inspiration.” The group explored who inspires them both personally and professionally, whom they have inspired, and what makes some interactions feel “inspirational.”
The highlight of the session came in the afternoon when the class welcomed Senior Fellows Eddie Garcia (Class XVIII), Jayne Battey (Class XXIV), and Marico Sayoc (Class XLII). Each shared insights from their own ALF experiences. This was followed by an open and engaging Q&A session that encouraged candid discussions, the inclusion of diverse viewpoints, and specifics about the Senior Fellow experience.
The session overall left the Fellows reflecting on what impact this year has had on them and what impact they may have on the organization.
