Class XLIV alum and Sutter Health executive joins ALF Board of Directors
Kevin Cook is President of Sutter Health’s Greater Silicon Valley, overseeing two hospitals, and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. He joined Sutter in June 2023 from Caldwell Butler, a healthcare consulting firm specializing in operational improvement, staffing optimization, and patient experience, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience.
Previously, Kevin served as Chief Operating Officer at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, a five-region, 10-hospital system in Louisiana and Mississippi. He was also CEO of the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s health system for 7 years, and held leadership roles with Mercy Health in Ohio and Pennsylvania as a hospital COO and regional CEO.
Kevin serves on the Board of the Council of Teaching Hospitals at the Association of American Medical Colleges. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hobart College and an MBA from Boston University and is a former Major in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Kevin is a member of ALF Class XLIV.
